Sono lieto di annunciare che il telaio funziona perfettamente. L&#8217;ho testato a Casale Monferrato ed a <a href="https://www.facebook.com/p/Strade-Ferrate-San-Sebastiano-SFSS-100068314867659/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Foligno</a> e devo dire che mi ha veramente stupito.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center">Collaudi del telaio</h2>



<p class="has-text-align-center">Allora, una cosa è da dire, per collaudarlo non ho voluto investire troppe energie. Quello che ho fatto è stato di avvitare al volo una sedia e unire i cavi dei motori alla batteria con una resistenza, ma ad ogni modo posso definire ambo le prove un successo!</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center">Carrozzeria</h2>



<p class="has-text-align-center">Ciò detto è arrivato il momento della carrozzeria per il locomotore Fenix. L&#8217;idea, come al solito, è stata abbastanza semplice. Ho realizzato un telaio saldato in tubo quadro 20x20x1.5mm dove ho avvitato i pannelli mediante inserti filettati M4. I montanti sono stati verniciati a polvere prima di inserire i rivetti e presentare i pannelli. Nelle foto seguenti potete osservare la costruzione del controtelaio e le lamiere fissate provvisoriamente prima di doverle rimuovere per essere verniciate.</p>

<p class="has-text-align-center">In questo post vi mostro il cavalletto per binari tronchi che ho realizzato per il mio garage. Come sempre è stato pensato per essere brutalmente funzionale, ma senza rinunciare mai all&#8217;estetica.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center">Features di un buon cavalletto</h2>



<p class="has-text-align-center">L&#8217;idea di realizzare un cavalletto è nata dopo aver schiantato un locomotore contro il muro del garage. Ovviamente non c&#8217;è miglior cavalletto di un muro in cemento armato: da quel lato della rotaia non ho previsto fermi meccanici. Dall&#8217;altra parte è tutta un&#8217;altra storia, infatti ho la saracinesca, quindi ho cercato di realizzare un cavalletto che possa essere montato e smontato sul binario senza troppo impegno, ma che possa fermare un locomotore che ci urti a velocità sostenuta. Un&#8217;altra caratteristica che ho cercato di implementare è la possibilità di accettare rotabili con i respingenti a diverse altezze, sia quella classica SMEE, sia quella dei miei rotabili ribassati.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center">Materiali utilizzati</h2>



<p class="has-text-align-center">Per rendere semplice la realizzazione ho deciso di costruire il tutto con dei tubi quadri 20x20x1.5mm. Inizialmente avevo previsto di imbullonarli, ma alla fine li ho saldati ad elettrodo con le piastre a taglio laser spessore 3mm. Fatto ciò ho verniciato a spruzzo con un fondo anti ruggine ed ho applicato a bomboletta i colori. Per fissarlo<a href="https://cactusgroup.space/rotaie-componibili-scartamento-7-1-4/"> al binario</a> sono sufficienti quattro bulloni M8 in acciaio zincato.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center">Segnale di prima categoria</h2>



<p class="has-text-align-center">Al cavalletto ho deciso di accoppiare un segnale di prima categoria a via impedita. Ho stampato tutto con la BambuLab A1 mini ed ho inserito un LED alta luminosità 5mm rosso direttamente nella vela.</p>

<p class="has-text-align-center">Vi ricordate il <a href="https://cactusgroup.space/lanterne-di-coda-scala-14/">post del 29 Giugno 2022</a>? Bene, il progetto delle lanterne coda treno FS non è affatto finito! Ho deciso di stamparne un nuovo set, così da poter mettere alla prova la stampa multi-filamento della mia nuova Bambu Lab A1 Mini.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center">Dove eravamo</h2>



<p class="has-text-align-center"><em>Allora, ricapitoliamo un attimo.</em> </p>



<p class="has-text-align-center">Era stata realizzata una prima versione del PCB con un case stampato in 3D in PLA bianco. Ad esso avevo incollato delle righe stampate e poi verniciate di colore rosso. Per il vetrino mi ero ritrovato ad affrontare un problema più complesso: andava realizzato in plexiglass limato a misura. Per ottenere un risultato migliore, dopo numerose prove, preferivo versare della resina epossidica trasparente nell&#8217;apertura. La seconda versione era invece stata richiesta da un mio amico, e si trattava del solo PCB migliorato, da montare in dei case in ferro da lui disegnati e prodotti.</p>



<p class="has-text-align-center">Il progetto in se sembrava concluso, ed ero anche parecchio soddisfatto del risultato. Passati alcuni mesi ho però ho rincontrato un amico al quale ne avevo realizzato un set e ho visto che le strisce rosse si erano in parte staccate. Poco dopo ho mostrato il progetto ad un incontro in università organizzato dall&#8217;<a href="https://poul.org/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">associazione POuL</a> e nel maneggiare una delle due lanterne si scollò anche a me una striscia rossa. A questo punto mi rendo conto che effettivamente non è il miglior modo di realizzarle. Quindi entra in scena la nuova <a href="https://eu.store.bambulab.com/it-it/products/a1-mini" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">stampante 3D Bambu Lab A1 mini</a> acquistata da meno di un mese.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center">Nuovi file CAD</h2>



<p class="has-text-align-center">In questi giorni ho quindi colto l&#8217;occasione per fissare meglio il PCB nella lanterna e far si che non debba essere inserito applicandogli pressione. Nella parte laterale ho prolungato i tagli per l&#8217;interruttore e per il connettore di ricarica USB. Il fondo ha poi dei denti che salgono ad incontrare le due aperture. Ho esportato dal CAD un file STEP per componente, ed uno dell&#8217;assieme. In questo modo le righe ed il frontale vengono importati nello slicer contemporaneamente dal file di assemblaggio. Anche il vetrino potrebbe essere stampato già in posizione, ma siccome il PETG non aderisce molto bene al PLA, e dovendo stamparlo davvero molto lentamente per far si che divenga trasparente, conviene farlo a parte. Va poi verniciato con della lacca rossa ed incollato in posizione con una goccia di cianoacrilato. Nel repository vi è anche il file Bambu Studio con tutti i preset di stampa.</p>

<p class="has-text-align-center">Ed ecco che i pezzi per realizzare il telaio del locomotore Fenix sono stati consegnati. In questo post vedremo il lavoro di assemblaggio provvisorio. Dico provvisorio perché poi toccherà smontare tutto per verniciare.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center">Pezzi non ancora saldati</h2>



<p class="has-text-align-center">Nella galleria qui sotto ci sono le foto delle travi del locomotore Fenix appena fresate. La realizzazione è stata un po&#8217; complessa, in quanto i tubi quadri (100x100x3mm) sono lunghi 1400mm, mentre la fresa del mio fornitore permette 1300mm di corsa. La realizzazione si è quindi composta di due fasi. Prima di tutto è stata fresata metà di ogni faccia. A quel punto è stato ruotato il piano di lavoro  &#8211; la battuta contro quale venivano allineati i pezzi e le morse &#8211; ed eseguito il resto delle lavorazioni. Sono poi stati sistemati con una lima i bordi taglienti e i raggi degli spigoli concavi dove vengono posti i porta-cuscinetti. Dopodichè ho inserito gli inserti filettati, svasando prima i fori dal lato esterno di circa 1mm.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center">Saldatura del frame principale</h2>



<p class="has-text-align-center">Detto ciò ho saldato il frame del telaio. Il tutto si compone delle travi, due testate e di un fazzoletto centrale, dello spessore di 10mm. Per le saldature delle testate mi sono ritrovato di fronte al problema di non renderle visibili dall&#8217;esterno. Ho quindi deciso di porre un cordone all&#8217;interno del telaio, e porre quello esterno sulla faccia interiore del tubo quadro.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center">Assemblaggio di assi, freni e trasmissione</h2>



<p class="has-text-align-center">Ed ecco che arriva il momento di montare tutto e vedere se le cose combaciano. Le catene non le ho ancora comprate, e le corone dentate dei motori non le ho ancora ritirate dal fornitore, ma il resto fitta tutto alla perfezione. I mozzi non sono ancora nella posizione definitiva, quindi non sono allineate correttamente.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center">Test di frenata</h2>



<p class="has-text-align-center">Ho provato a prendere velocità sul piano in discesa del garage &#8211; sono 6m di rotaia &#8211; e frenare con i 2bar nominali che userà il locomotore Fenix con il convoglio accoppiato. Devo ammettere che non mi aspettavo frenasse così bene. Con il mio peso sopra sembra quasi che tenda a pattinare. Certo la prova andrebbe fatta a velocità più sostenuta, ma per ora posso ritenermi completamente soddisfatto! <p class="has-text-align-center">Devo dire che ero incerto, fino a poco fa, se pubblicare questo progetto. Il motivo è molto semplice, questo locomotore 7 1/4&#8243; non sarebbe dovuto mai esistere. Infatti, il nome Fenix non è a caso, perché è come se fosse una fenice che rinasce dalle ceneri di un progetto iniziato nel peggiore dei modi, e finito nel bidone del rottame praticamente.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center">Storia del progetto e sue origini</h2>



<p class="has-text-align-center">Il tutto iniziò nel lontano giugno 2021, quando stavo ancora approcciando per le prime volte quest&#8217;hobby fantastico che è il model engineering. All&#8217;epoca, ovviamente, non ero capace di progettare da me un rotabile, e nemmeno di realizzarlo. Infatti, come ho scoperto in seguito, trovare un tornitore, un fresatore, un taglio laser ecc. non è affatto facile quando si tratta di pochi pezzi e si ha un budget ristretto. Mi fu quindi suggerito da alcuni hobbisti di recarmi da un signore che mi avrebbe realizzato un telaio a prezzo contenuto, in modo tale da poter poi procedere con quello che mi interessava davvero: l&#8217;elettronica. Il progetto iniziò, io pagai un anticipo e dopo più di un anno mi venne consegnato un telaio completamente diverso dalle specifiche, ma comunque <strong>apparentemente </strong>usabile.</p>



<p class="has-text-align-center">Poi il tempo passò, ed io fui costretto a rifare una quantità di pezzi che non è nemmeno elencabile. Ad un certo punto, e si parla di questo mese, mi sono accorto che non rimaneva più nulla del progetto originale, tranne due travi e quattro lamiere storte e piene di buchi. Ecco quindi cosa ho deciso, rifaccio tutto da capo. Devo dire che mi dispiace davvero molto, ma in questo modo potrò anche renderlo trasportabile in automobile &#8211; ora è alto quasi 1m. Qui sotto ho deciso di mettere delle foto di confronto dei pezzi originali e rifatti.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center"><strong>La lezione qual&#8217;è?</strong></h2>



<p class="has-text-align-center">Prima cosa che non è possibile che qualcuno ci offra la luna al prezzo di un sasso. Ma se vogliamo ne possiamo ricavare un&#8217;altra meno scontata: non bisogna mai legarsi tanto a qualcosa, al punto da mettervi le proprie energie alla cieca. Se quello che stiamo facendo non va bene, dobbiamo fare un passo indietro, prendere un foglio bianco e ricominciare. È difficile, io per primo lo so, ma è la cosa migliore. Per questo ringrazio tutte le persone che mi hanno dato la forza di ricominciare, a partire dalla mia famiglia, per arrivare ai fornitori che mi hanno fatto vedere come le cose devono essere veramente fatte. In particolar modo il centro di lavoro CNC BETO di Lecco.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center">Cosa voglio fare</h2>



<p>Una cosa ho però voluto fosse costante: il locomotore Fenix deve essere un mezzo da cantiere &#8211; stilizzato ovviamente &#8211; e con i colori della Valsecchi Armamento Ferroviario, ovvero il giallo segnale ed il blu oltremare. A questo punto ho iniziato a guardare in rete un po&#8217; di foto di locomotori da armamento e, con lo spirito del sano spionaggio industriale, ho pensato di imitare un po&#8217; la Matisa, che con i frontali piegati mi permette di dare robustezza con spessori ridotti. Qui sotto metto una foto di una Matisa e una <strong>bozza </strong>di ciò che voglio fare.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center">Cos&#8217;ho progettato del locomotore Fenix fino ad ora</h2>



<p class="has-text-align-center">Quello che fino ad ora ho progettato del locomotore Fenix in realtà è solo il telaio. Il tutto è composto da due tubi quadri 100x100x3mm con delle aperture che permettono ai porta-cuscinetti di scorrere sospesi da delle molle. Questi sono uniti dalle testate e da un fazzoletto centrale. Gli assi, la trasmissione e i motori non sono altro che quelli che già avevo ridisegnato per essere montati sul vecchio progetto ormai accantonato. Anche i <a href="https://cactusgroup.space/respingenti-per-modelli-7-1-4/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">respingenti</a> ed i <a href="https://cactusgroup.space/accoppiatori-meccanici-per-modelli-7-1-4/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">ganci</a> sono gli stessi, ed ho già pubblicato i progetti sul mio <a href="https://git.cactusgroup.space/explore/repos" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Gitea</a>. Ho in questi giorni fornito le tavole a chi di dovere, appena riceverò i pezzi verranno saldati e verniciati e monterò la motorizzazione. Solo la base del telaio è saldata, tutto il resto è imbullonato. Fatto ciò pubblicherò un post con i progressi e procederò con il design della carrozzeria e degli impianti. Il frame in qubo quadro sottile sul retro del telaio è un quadro elettrico estraibile &#8211; mediante guide per cassetti &#8211; dove alloggiare i reostati ed i contattori. In questo modo si potrà fare manutenzione anche ai raduni, senza dover smontare le fiancate.</p>

<p class="has-text-align-center">L&#8217;idea è nata per sostituire le rotaie 7 1/4 che avevo in garage con qualcosa di più robusto, e soprattutto smontabile.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center">Materiali utilizzati</h2>



<p class="has-text-align-center">Devo ammettere che queste rotaie sono davvero semplici. Per le rotaie ho utilizzato un tubo quadro 20x20x1,5mm preso al Tecnomat &#8211; ex Bricoman &#8211; in modo tale da contenere i costi, senza rinunciare alla robustezza meccanica. Per le traversine ho deciso di utilizzare del legno, ho scelto dei paletti di abete, che ho tagliato a misura. Essendo progettate per l&#8217;uso in garage, le traversine in legno sono perfette per non rovinare il pavimento. Inoltre, non è nemmeno necessario un trattamento con impregnante in autoclave, dato che non subiranno gli agenti atmosferici. Per montare le rotaie alle traversine ho usato un piatto in ferro 40x4mm, che ho saldato ai binari e avvitato con viti per legno a testa svasata nelle traversine. Ovviamente per produzione su larga scala converrebbe il taglio laser, ma ho realizzato solo 6m di binari, quindi ho fatto a mano. Le rotaie sono montate tra loro con dei pezzi in stampa 3D e viti M4.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center">Future implementazioni</h2>



<p class="has-text-align-center">Sto anche pensando di realizzare i cavalletti per i binari tronchi &#8211; li ho già disegnati, ma devo ancora provare a realizzarli &#8211; e le traversine in cemento. Pubblicherò foto e progetti appena li avrò provati. Quello che vorrei ottenere è, anche per quelle da esterni,  l&#8217;isolamento elettrico tra le due rotaie e tra una sezione e l&#8217;altra, in modo tale da poter individuare la presenza dei treni come si fa con quelli a scartamento ordinario: inserendo una tensione tra le due rotaie e rilevando il corto circuito creato dagli assi del treno.</p>

<p class="has-text-align-center">L&#8217;idea di questi accoppiatori è nata guardando i modelli inglesi con un occhio di riguardo alla versatilità ed alla possibilità di agganciare le cose più disparate. Il risultato è molto semplice, è possibile collegare praticamente di tutto, catene, barre filettate con testa snodo o forcelle, barre piatte ecc. In più il gancio dispone di due altezze di connessione differenti.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center">Semplicità spesso è affidabilità</h2>



<p class="has-text-align-center">Ora, l&#8217;accoppiatore in sé non è nulla di incredibile, si compone di una piastra parallela alla testata del rotabile, la quale è saldata ad altre tre ortogonali. In quelle orizzontali è posto un foro che consente di inserire un bullone M10 in verticale. Così facendo, per connettere i due rotabili, è possibile porre qualunque cosa provvista anch&#8217;essa di un foro di almeno 10mm. Quindi basterà avere una barra piatta forata, una catena, una barra filettata con uniball o forcella e così via. Sarà inoltre possibile usare un perno snodo sferico avvitato in testa alla barra M10 per usare gli accoppiatori a clip. Il tutto ha poi quell&#8217;aspetto da cantiere o miniera, proprio in stile con il locomotore al quale sto lavorando e per il quale li ho progettati.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center">Montaggio di un accoppiatore</h2>



<p class="has-text-align-center">Costruire uno di questi ganci è molto semplice, basta prendere i pezzi tagliati a laser in lamiera di ferro spessa 6mm ed inserire i tre elementi orizzontali nelle fessure di quello verticale. Risulta molto comodo per fare ciò aiutarsi con un martello, dando dei leggeri colpetti. Una volta inseriti i tre elementi non serve far altro che saldare le scanalature poste nella faccia posteriore. Per farlo si può usare una qualunque saldatrice a elettrodo, TIG, a filo o in ogni caso che riporti del materiale. Sarà poi necessario, nel caso la saldatura abbia sbordato dalla superficie, dare una passata veloce con una mola, una lima o con un disco abrasivo per smerigliatrice angolare. Non resta altro che dare una mano di vernice ed il gioco è fatto!</p>

<p class="has-text-align-center">Questo post sarà il primo di una serie di articoli dove mostrerò alcuni dettagli che sto sviluppando per il locomotore Giano. Il progetto di questo locomotore è stato fermo per circa un anno, ma negli ultimi giorni ho deciso di riprenderlo, ache dopo un piccolo incidente ferroviario che ne ha rotto alcune componenti. Il primo accorgimento che ho deciso di adottare è un set di respingenti provvisti di molle e ammortizzatori in neoprene.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center">Funzionamento</h2>



<p class="has-text-align-center">Riporto di seguito la descrizione stampata nell&#8217;ultima pagina del documento tecnico allegato:</p>



<p class="has-text-align-center">Il respingente è progettato per assorbire, mediante la compressione della<br>molla, gli urti subiti. Nel caso in cui la forza d&#8217;impatto sia eccessivamente<br>elevata, il blocco antivibrante scorre all&#8217;interno del carter fino ad appoggiare<br>la sua faccia sulle rondelle in neoprene. Esse sono infatti studiate per<br>impedire una compressione eccessiva della molla, che porterebbe ad una sua<br>deformazione ed allo snervamento con conseguente perdita di elasticità.<br>La vite di fissaggio al telaio deve essere sufficientemente corta da<br>pre-comprimere la molla. Per uno spessore del telaio di 10mm è consigliabile<br>una vite di lunghezza 70mm con una rondella piana di spessore 2mm tra la<br>testa ed il telaio. Importate considerare che la vite, a causa della<br>compressione della molla, scorrerà all&#8217;interno del rotabile e necessita quindi<br>di spazio libero dietro di sè.<br>Le rondelle in neoprene devono avere uno spessore complessivo di<br>indicativamente 25mm. Nel disegno sono realizzate con uno spessore di 8mm<br>a partire dai fogli usati per il montaggio di costruzioni prefabbricate. In<br>questo caso risulta semplice il taglio del diametro esterno con un semplice<br>taglierino a mano. Il foro interno può essere realizzato con una punta di<br>trapano ed una guida in legno, con una fresa a tazza o con un tubo metallico<br>di spessore ridotto ed un martello.<br>La molla è del tipo per stampi a norma ISO10243 per carico leggero,<br>codificata dal colore verde.</p>

<p class="has-text-align-center">Sono felice di annunciare a tutti che adesso anche io ho una bellissima macchina a vapore! Ho acquistato questa macchina per potermi fare le ossa nella meccanica, per magari poi un giorno progettarne una mia. Il punto è che il tender di cui era fornita la R302 aveva qualche cosa da sistemare: in questo post potete vedere come l&#8217;ho rimesso a nuovo!!</p>

<p class="has-text-align-center">L&#8217;idea che sta dietro al restauro che ho svolto è di aumentare la funzionalità del tender, migliorandone al contempo l&#8217;estetica. Potete vedere in questa foto com&#8217;era prima di metterci mano.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center">Migliorie varie</h2>



<p class="has-text-align-center">Per ottimizzare la situazione acqua ho inizialmente procurato una pompa elettrica, che non sarà certamente modellistica, ma in questo caso, avendo solo un iniettore ed una pompa a mano direi che è decisamente molto utile per non ritrovarsi nella <img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f4a9.png" alt="💩" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" />. Dopodichè ho cambiato la raccorderia che era arrugginita ed ho spostato i rubinetti all&#8217;interno della sagoma del rotabile. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center">Un tender per la R302 travestito da vagone?</h2>



<p class="has-text-align-center">Quello che mancava era di rendere molto più carino il tender nel suo complesso, quindi grazie anche a dei suggerimenti dell&#8217;ing. Mattia Ragazzoni ho comprato del legno per rivestire il carro, camuffandolo da vagone merci! L&#8217;idea era quindi di farlo rassomigliare ad un <a href="https://cactusgroup.space/index.php/carro-a-sponde-in-legno/">altro carro già sistemato da me</a> che era venuto molto bene. Questa operazione è stata eseguita per nascondere il fatto che è un tender, in quanto le R302 erano a tutti gli effetti delle locotender non provviste di tender, come si può notare dalle foto storiche, di cui due qua sotto.</p>

<p class="has-text-align-center">Inoltre il rivestimento in legno evita il surriscaldamento dell&#8217;acqua: prima era una semplice cassa di inox verniciata di nero, sotto il sole mancano solo una gallina, delle verdure e dei tortellini per fare un buon pranzo&#8230; Un aumento di temperatura così pronunciato potrebbe portare l&#8217;iniettore a smettere di innescare correttamente. Ho quindi montato la perlina sui lati del carro, avendo cura di lasciare il lato con le righine (che sembrano assicelle) all&#8217;esterno. Per il fissaggio sulla cassa in inox ho utilizzato del silicone Wurth per lamiera. Ho lasciato per un giorno fermo il tutto ad asciugare con dei pesi a lato e delle mollette da bucato (per la gioia di mia mamma&#8230;). Fatto ciò ho predisposto dei poggiapiedi rimovibili per non avere come prima le ginocchia in gola mentre guido, senza però rischiare di rompermi gli stinchi quando è in deposito.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center">La verniciatura</h2>



<p class="has-text-align-center">A quel punto sono passato alla fase di verniciatura: una mano di cementina base acqua e due di smalto dello stesso tipo tinta RAL3009 rosso ossido, passate tutte a pennello. In questo modo sembra davvero un vagone merci siculo a scartamento ridotto, ovviamente con dovuta approssimazione.</p>

<p class="has-text-align-center">Ed ecco che con soli due giorni di lavoro posso dire che il tender della R302 ora mi soddisfa, si potrà certamente fare di meglio, ma devo dire che ne vado molto fiero!</p>

<p class="has-text-align-center">Qui si può anche vedere come sia ben organizzato in modo tale da avere uno scomparto per acqua, uno per il carbone &#8211; ce ne ho messi tipo 10kg!! &#8211; ed uno per riporre attrezzi vari, oliatore e pezzetti di legna. L&#8217;ultimo scomparto è stato realizzato chiudendo il pianalino col le sponde in legno, e in esso sono situati anche la pompa a mano, il rubinetto dell&#8217;iniettore &#8211; o comunque il prolungamento della sua leva &#8211; ed il freno a mano.</p>

<p class="has-text-align-center">Questo automotore è stato portato nella mia officina per un ri-cablaggio dell&#8217;impianto elettrico, ma le cose sono andate decisamente complicandosi. Appena iniziata la fase di smontaggio, mi sono accorto che per poter rimuovere completamente l&#8217;impianto preesistente ero costretto allo sbullonamento di ogni pannello della carrozzeria. Arrivato a quel punto si è deciso di eseguire una riverniciatura sempre nella mia officina, che poi si è trasformata in un restauro integrale&#8230;</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center">Verniciatura</h2>



<p class="has-text-align-center">Ed ecco arrivato il momento della vernice, con tutto il locomotore smontato si è deciso semplicemente di eseguire un leggero carteggio e procedere con delle bombolette spray. Sono stati usati i seguenti colori: nero opaco RAL 9005 per il sottotelaio e per gli interni, verde muschio RAL 6005 per la carrozzeria e rosso segnale RAL 3001 per le testate. Devo dire che questa parte del lavoro, che a mio avviso sarebbe stata la più infernale, non ha creato molte sorprese, al contrario di ciò che è venuto dopo&#8230;</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center">Bulloni infernali e dettagli vari</h2>



<p class="has-text-align-center">Una cosa, una soltanto non era stata considerata: il paese di fabbricazione&#8230; Quindi, dopo aver completamente smontato la carrozzeria e buttato i bulloni perchè arrugginiti ho realizzato che l&#8217;automotore è made in the UK! Il che lo rende un carnaio di piedi, pollici ed arti vari! Ale! Scherzi a parte in quel momento volevo piangere, le viti del tipo originale erano introvabili come fossero state fatte, che so, di oro invisibile. Il tutto ha fatto sì che tipo 120 fori ignobilmente misurati a parti del corpo a caso dovessero diventare multipli, possibilmente interi, di 1mm. Ergo ho maschiato tutti i fori a 4mm. E non è andata &#8211; relativamente si intende &#8211; neanche male, in quanto sono riuscito a passare direttamente il maschio con l&#8217;avvitatore senza preforare. A quel punto ho inserito delle viti testa bombata a brugola e via! </p>



<p class="has-text-align-center">Quindi fatto ciò ho iniziato a montare i sostegni per le batterie ed un profilato quadrato dove far correre i cavi di luci e tromba. Ed anche in questo caso, nonostante l&#8217;adorabile torcia inserita al posto del faro (oserei anche dire con molto garbo), la jella (con una bella j, alla Pirandello in &#8220;La Patente&#8221;) è tornata a trovarmi facendomi scoprire che le trombe erano interrotte.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center">Elettronica</h2>



<p class="has-text-align-center">Ed ecco che manca solo la parte più semplice del lavoro, o almeno così dovrebbe essere per me, l&#8217;elettronica. Il concetto di base era quello di razionalizzare il cablaggio e evitare il più possibile la dispersione di risorse in pezzi nuovi. La prima cosa che ho fatto è stato levare il motore per poterne verificare lo stato delle spazzole e rilevarne la potenza nominale. Devo dire che smontare la trasmissione mi incuteva qualche timore, che però è presto svanito, di seguito allego la scheda tecnica del motore, non si sa mai che qualcuno ne voglia usare uno uguale.</p>

<p class="has-text-align-center">Fortunatamente le spazzole erano in ottimo stato e ho proseguito il lavoro. Fatto ciò mi sono adoperato a cercare delle batterie idonee. Inizialmente ero preoccupato del poco spazio che avevo a disposizione, ma dopo un breve confronto con Lorenzo Lobbia ho deciso di puntare a due accumulatori da 70AH. Messi quelli nel vano ho pensato ad un caricatore-mantenitore a bordo, due interruttori di potenza e connettori batteria e motore da 50A (come quelli dei muletti). A quel punto dovevo solo ricablare il banco e il locomotore. Sono subito partito col banco, una bella scatoletta Teko al cui interno ho messo il minimo possibile di comandi. Poi ho assemblato il cavo, la piastra stampata in 3D per i connettori, un altro cavo e la piastra con il cablaggio. Su di essa ho messo due relè (tromba e luci), ed il famigerato chopper PRO150 di 4QD. In quel momento ho iniziato i imprecare&#8230; Il chopper non ne voleva sapere di partire, facendola breve, in due/tre giorni di tortura ho trovato: un filo interrotto, un diodo in corto e qualche saldatura fredda. Ed ecco fatto, la parte elettrica è finita.</p>
